Satine is spunky, friendly she's the type of person who wouldn't have any enemies. Although she's quite pretty she's modest about it and wont accept compliments from anybody. She's mature and unselfish and always see's the good in others. She can put up with arrogant, conceited, ego-centric people but if pushed too far she can bite back.
Satine's start in life was good, with a great mom and dad. Two very annoying sisters who's main goal in life was embarrassing Satine in every way possible. Her mom Christine and dad Frank were very loving and helped her flourish as a person. Her older sister Meredith acted like her second mother even though the age gap was only two years. When Satine was in her teens and tried to sneak out the window late at night to go to some party Meredith would always show up and ruin her buzz. Her younger sister Emily was more of a rebel and defied her parents every time. Since they both had a different view on life Meredith and Emily would always clash with Satine in the middle but she never took sides when they fought she went into a neutral zone. As a Child Satine was always a good kid, never got detention, never missed a day. She discovered she had a taste for acting and took part in alot of plays. As a teenager it all changed, she embraced the life of a teenager, she partied when she could . One day she even ended up with alcohol poisoning one night and spent the night in hospital and a month grounded, Meredith had a field day when she found out. Life was normal till one tragic day it all changed, in one day she went from bratty, over dramatic teenager to somebody who had no choice but to grow up. Satine's mom and Dad decided to take her and her sisters to their holiday cabin for a week as part of grounding and family quality time. Satine remembered hating them for it, both her and Emily fought with her parents the whole week, but now she wishes she didn't, because of what happened. The night before they were due to go home they'd had a campfire around the fireplace because it was raining out, they all went to bed afterwards and left the fire lit. Satine remembered arms around her pulling her awake, and the smell of burning wood then waking up outside the house Meredith was placing her onto the ground. Frowning Satine looked up at the burning spectacle that was her family's cabin "Stay here, i'm gonna go get everybody else out" Meredith was saying to her, little did she know they would be her last words. Soon after Meredith went in the local fire crew showed up, they wrapped her in a blanket, she was reluctant wanting to go back in, but they refused to let her. She watched them go in, soon after they cam back out carrying somebody, her dad. She'd dropped her blanket and rushed to him. He was out cold, blood was gushing from a wound on his head. Tears started to fall as she watched the paramedics load him quickly into the ambulance, she went with him to the hospital, 20 miles away. Sitting in the hospital waiting room was the hardest thing she'd ever done, waiting for news on her mother, sisters and dad. She must have worn the floor out from all the pacing, she remembered the fights she'd had with her mom and dad the whole trip, choking back more tears, she wasn't a religious person but she prayed the whole night through. Five coffee cups down and five hours later, she looked up as she was approached by a police officer, he was holding his hat, his face a mask of pity. She rose from her seat "Are you Miss Monroe?" he asked unsure, she nodded silently, knowing what was coming ,hoping she wasn't right "The fire fighters did all they could but they couldn't save your mother and sisters, i'm sorry for your loss". There was a sharp intake of breath, her legs forgot how to stand and gravity pulled her down. She sat there crying almost enough tears to fill a river, she didn't know how long she sat there, barely even noticing the arms around her as a nurse brought her to a separate room. They were gone forever, she'd never see her mom's beautiful smile or hear Meredith's lectures or teach Emily how to properly apply eyeliner so she wouldn't look like a panda. She'd never get to tell them how much she loved them even though she was a handful, she'd give anything just to say sorry. A few hours later a doctor came into the room, his face didn't look like it was about to give bad news .Her dad had suffered a sharp bang to the head and as a result he was in a coma, he could wake up anytime, days, months maybe even in a year, there was no telling. A few months down the line a foster family decided to take her in. Only to send her away to school as a way to help mend the huge hole that was in her life.
